"Participants use knowledge of cutting-edge technologies, algorithm design, problem-solving principles, effective communication, and collaborative teamwork to design, implement, test, and document a software development project of educational or social value."

For the Connecticut State Conference, this competition entails creating a program according to regulation and having it judged on the day of the conference. There will be no semifinalist LEAP interview. Either individuals or teams of up to five (1-5) can participate.
