"Participants demonstrate understanding of and expertise in using photographic and imaging technology processes to convey a message based on a theme. Semifinalists record images and then utilize graphic editing software to prepare a single final image as a solution to an onsite prompt."

For the Connecticut State Conference, this competition entails preparing a photographic portfolio according to the year's theme and the event regulations and having it judged on-site. There is no semifinal round. Only individuals (1) may participate in this event.

Picture #1: Color picture taken during the day of a sporting event (can be indoors), must contain people and/or animals

Picture #2: Color picture taken during the day of a sporting event (can be indoors)

Picture #3: Color picture taken at night of a sporting event (must be outdoors)

Picture #4: Black and white picture of a sporting event

Picture #5: Picture, either colored or black and white, of a sporting event taken at a slow shutter speed (must be provided)
